Faris Eid is the founder, President and Principal-In-Charge
of Design Innovation Architects, DIA.
While virtually everyone is proud of the redevelopment of
downtown Knoxville, few people have a more direct hand in more of that
redevelopment than Faris. He was the one who figured out how to build the Regal
Cinema but still save the S&W Building. He helped redevelop what is now the
Mast General Store with DIA offices in the space above.
From historic preservation such as the new Hyatt Place
Downtown Knoxville and Lonesome Dove restaurant, to new projects such as Regas
Square, Faris Eid and the DIA team continue to help Knoxville prosper while
doing the right thing from both a design and environmental point of view.
DIA was a past recipient of the Knoxville Chamber of
Commerce Small Business Excellence Award, and was on Inc. 5000 2016 listing.
Faris was a long-time board member of the East TN Community
Design Center and Knox Heritage; and continues to serve on other boards
including EO Knoxville, Hillcrest Nursing Homes, and the City of Knoxville
Historic Zoning Commission.
