Financial Times Names Rochester Adviser One of the Top Retirement Advisers in the Nation
Rochester,
N.Y. — Sage Rutty & Co., Rochester’s oldest locally owned wealth management firm, is pleased to announce
that Financial Times has named Douglas E. Parker III one of the top retirement
advisers in the nation on its annual Top 401 Retirement Plan Advisors (FT 401) list.
As a member of the list, Parker, who is based in Rochester, joins an elite
group of 401 advisers selected from across the country.
A certified financial planner and senior vice
president, Parker joined Sage Rutty in 1996 and has nearly 30 years of experience
in the financial industry. Parker and his team, Parker & Burke, are
responsible for advising individual and corporate clients on a variety of
financial issues, including his specialty of retirement plan design, management
and service.
This is the second annual FT 401 list, produced
independently by the Financial Times
in collaboration with Ignites Research, a subsidiary of the FT that
provides business intelligence on asset management. Parker has been on the list
both years.
When selecting the FT
401 list,
Financial Times analyzes quantifiable and objective criteria and determines
rankings based on various data, including industry experience, certifications,
assets under management, specializations and compliance record. The 2016 list
represents advisers from 41 states plus Washington, District of Columbia.
Parker, who resides in Brighton, NY, is a
Certified Financial Planner Practitioner (CFP®) and an Accredited Investment
Fiduciary (AIF®). He graduated come Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester
and earned his Master’s Degree in Financial Planning from The College for
Financial Planning.
