Founded in 1926, Richter is one of Canada’s largest independent advisory firms. We are not defined by what we do, but rather who we advise and how. This is something that has allowed us to develop our business in a unique fashion.

Our focus is on advising business owners and their families on an array of concerns, including wealth succession, family governance, taxation matters, business strategy, assurance, cybersecurity and risk management, valuations, insolvency and transaction advisory. But how Richter’s approach differs from what most advisors do is that we ensure that business needs are aligned with the owner and their family dynamics — not just focusing on business without consideration of the other, equally important needs or aspects of their lives. We work with people, not the entities they own.
