Putting Waste to Good Use: Member "Sprouts" Innovative Idea

EO Winnipeg member Heidi Reimer-Epp's business, Botanical PaperWorks, was recently profiled in the September 2009 issue of FastCompany. In a section titled "Transformers," the PaperWorks' product, Garden Greetings, was given the spotlight for its unique ability to sprout into flowers or herbs. These greeting cards are embedded with seeds and can be put in the earth to blossom. Reimer-Epp's company uses 3.5 tons of paper waste a year to create these unique cards.
