New Omani firm to promote medical tourism in India

19 January 2013 - Medical tourism is becoming increasingly popular, with many in the sultanate choosing to go abroad for treatment. Genesis International, a newly-formed company in Oman, recently tied up with Kovai Medical Centre and Hospital (KMCH), a multi-disciplinary super specialty hospital in Coimbatore, India, with the initial aim of facilitating medical tourism.

The company will send people to Coimbatore for treatment and later set up a hospital in Muscat. Qais al Khonji, co-founder of Genesis, told Muscat Daily, “For now, people wishing to visit the hospital in Coimbatore can contact us on 99289281 and we will do everything in terms of providing guidance and making arrangements.
