Please tell us briefly about your company.
We
help high school students pass their exit exam, graduate and become
productive additions to society - specifically by getting them past the
number one road block to graduation, Algebra I. We are able to do this
by providing a web based, self-paced multi-media tutorial tool to help
middle and high school students attain math literacy.
Why did you join EO and how long have you been a member?
I believe you become who you hang around, so I joined EO in 2002 to associate with a family of like minded individuals.
What do you like best about your business?
Helping people learn!
What is your proudest accomplishment to date in your business?
Watching as our employees buy houses, grow and mature.
When did you first realize you were going to be an entrepreneur?
After
working in the Motion Picture business for 15 years and becoming
responsible for worldwide sales of a $400 million dollar division, I
looked at the handful of people above me at Paramount Pictures and knew
that I didn't want to be like any of them.
What do you feel is the greatest accomplishment in your entire life?
Marrying so far above my head - the best sales job of my life was to my wife, and our 2 wonderful boys, of course.
What are your greatest personal strengths?
Long term vision and seeing the world in a different way than most.
What about your weakness?
Impatience.
Why do you think you have been successful?
Patience, now isn't that an interesting dichotomy?
What is something you hope will be written about you in your obituary?
That he earned the love and respect of those closest to him.
On a lighter note, what do you do for fun these days?
Snow skiing, volleyball, mountain biking and coaching soccer.
