Welcome to another year at EO DC!

I want to start with an honest question. How many of you joined EO because you wanted to be around the most interesting, capable, driven entrepreneurs you'd ever met?

Do you feel like you've fully tapped into that yet? Do you genuinely know most members of our Chapter? I don't think so.

That gap — between what EO DC could be and what it is for most of us — is what I've been thinking about. Since I was elected President for 2026-7, I’ve been asking myself one question: What does EO DC need most right now?

And I've come to believe the gap isn't about more programming. It's not about better speakers or even our structure.

It's about commitment and engagement.

What we need — what I believe most chapters need — is each other. More of each other.

I looked around at our membership, and I saw something that probably sounds familiar: talented, driven, extraordinary entrepreneurs who are also incredibly busy. People who joined EO because they wanted community, but who sometimes treat their membership the way we all treat the gym in February. We meant to go. We will go. After this quarter settles down.

The quarter never settles down. You know that. I know that.

So this year, I'm proposing something simple and something challenging: every member of EO DC goes All In and engages!

I'm not asking you to slow down. Not when business slows down. Not when the quarter is good. All In, now, as we are, with whatever time we can carve out.

Here's what All In looks like:

First — SHOW UP. You put chapter events on your calendar before anything else takes that slot. You treat EO DC with the same commitment you'd give a board meeting or a key client.

Second — GO DEEP AND GIVE GENEROUSLY. In forum. In peer conversations. Be present, not just physically, but mentally. Share what you know, what you've learned the hard way, and what you wish someone had told you. Share what's actually hard right now — not a polished version of your business story, but the real thing. The stuff you'd normally only tell your closest advisor.

Third — ELEVATE THE CHAPTER. Your participation makes EO DC stronger for every member who comes after you. Pick one person in this chapter this year and make it your personal mission to know them, support them, and show up for them. One person. That's the ask.

This isn't complicated. But it's also not easy. Being All In takes intention.

And here's what I believe: if every one of us does these three things, EO DC will be a fundamentally different chapter by the time next year comes around. Members will say this was the year that changed things.
