Join EO South Florida’s signature, can’t-miss celebration— a captivating evening with Amanda Knox, the exoneree, journalist, speaker, and New York Times best-selling author whose story has fascinated the world for two decades.
In 2007, as a 20-year-old study-abroad student in Italy, Amanda was accused and later wrongfully convicted of the murder of her roommate. She spent four years in prison before Italy’s highest court definitively acquitted her in 2015. Her case continues to be examined globally, including in the recent 8-episode Hulu series The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, where she serves as an executive producer, helping reclaim and reframe her story for a new generation. Her story is also featured in Netflix's Amanda Knox.
Today, Amanda uses her lived experience to illuminate how media narratives, cognitive bias, and flawed decision-making can distort the truth. She is the author of Waiting to Be Heard and the creator of several projects centered on resilience, critical thinking, and navigating life under extreme public scrutiny.
At this special EO South Florida engagement, Amanda will share an unflinching look at what happens when systems fail—and what it takes to rebuild your identity, career, and purpose in the aftermath of a crisis. She will explore themes that resonate deeply with entrepreneurs: leading under pressure, navigating uncertainty, protecting reputation in a hyperconnected world, and transforming adversity into strength.
